Green homes incorporate environmental considerations and resource efficiency into every step of the building process to minimize environmental impact. The design, construction, and operation of a home focuses on energy and water efficiency, resource efficient building design and materials, indoor air quality, and must take into account the homes total impact on the environment. Many of the technologies and processes used in a green home are behind the walls and behind the scenes.
